Summer is here in Seattle and what do you do in Summer? Camping, running, kayaking, paragliding, other outings and hiking! Hiking on Tiger Mountain in Issaquah is equally fun as other sports especially when you are out with some cool friends.
You also have options to paraglide from the top of the Tiger Mountain. Watch the takeoff and landing video on YouTube, I captured.
It was Sunday morning and I would have given up on Kayaking that weekend unless a friend had pinged me and asked me about my Sunday afternoon plans. We were only discussing and the plan which had almost sunk in the South Lake Union of Seattle actually began to float! We decided that we meet at South Lake Union for kayaking in an hour! Needless to say that I got super excited!
The canceled plan of Kayaking due to wrong weather forecast on Saturday, actually made my and my friend’s Sunday afternoon better than was previously thought!
Kayaking is a good exercise mixed with awesome fun. You can choose to kayak by yourself or have a partner along with you. Although we were two, we chose to rent out two single kayaks.
We had been thinking to go for a trip together from a long time and finally planned and executed our medium budget Goa vacation / trip. It was a 3 days 2 nights vacation. The distance from Pune to Goa is about 11 hours by Bus. People prefer bus over train to Goa because they believe it would be too much of a travel and from Panaji or vasco da gama railway station, the beaches like Baga or Calangute are far away. However, my personal choice is Train (AC sleeper Coach) when you are not in hurry. You can chill out with friends in the train during the long journey. One thing I experienced is that on the return journey you must book a faster conveyance because it becomes sad when your vacation is coming to an end. Preferably, flights! I am surely going to take a flight next time due to the experience at least on the return journey. The distance to Goa from Pune is 459 kms by road.

A great thought on traveling woman by a great man. With International Women’s Day gone, a reminder to all the beings on this planet that in this century, women are equal to men and she need not follow the footsteps laid out for her, she is smart enough to create her own path and reach the zenith. Talking of women, especially with travel enthusiasm (like me) and the vacation time coming soon, reminded me of the all girls trip I took some time back. An all-girls trip is all about fun and no stress and most importantly, no boys.
